Gerry is the Founder and Managing Member of Stirling Operations and Angeli Capital. Prior to forming these companies, he served as President and General Manager of ACR Electronics, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Drew Marine.
ACR designs and manufactures lifesaving equipment, including personal locating beacons (PLBs), EPIRBs for the marine industry, ELTs for aircraft, and radio beacons for military applications. Other products include specialized gear to assist in search and rescue operations. ACR builds quality products knowing they are used to save lives.
Most notable of Gerry’s leadership and vision was the transformation of ACR from an unknown company to earning statewide and national recognition for excellence in manufacturing.
As ACR’s President, he and the company won the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Salute to Business Award (2017), TravelHost Magazine’s Wall of Fame (2018), SFMA Manufacturer of the Year (2018), and Florida’s highest honor, “The Governor’s Sterling Award” for Best in the State Business of Manufacturing (2018).
ACR was honored nationally as NIST American Manufacturing Hero (2018), and the Broward County Board of Commissioners proclaimed “ACR Day” as December 4, 2018.
Gerry’s career took him around the world, working on design, manufacturing, and supply chains. He was VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain for the Consumer Products div. at Eastman Kodak; VP of Manufacturing for the Systemedia Division of NCR Corp.; and SVP at Concord Camera Corp.
Gerry holds degrees in Engineering Physics from Lehigh University and an MBA from Boston University; he is also an Adjunct Professor at NSU’s Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
